With the community's growing interest in sports such as soccer and lacrosse, the City of Huntsville decided to expand Merrimack Sports Complex.

A first for the city, Phase I added four lighted synthetic fields. These turf fields are durable and designed to accommodate year-round play, rain or shine. Also added were concession stands and shade pavilions. Phase II will bring in four additional lighted fields, more parking, and greenways to connect the surrounding Brahan Spring Park.
