In 2019, Rivertree Church adopted Southside Baptist Church in downtown Huntsville, Alabama, to become Rivertree Downtown. Chapman Sisson Architects partnered with Rivertree Church to renovate the aging campus and provide a fresh new look for the interior of the building.

The existing fellowship hall was converted to a new worship space seating 400, and the lobby was opened up to allow for space to welcome guests. The kitchen was renovated into a coffee bar and small gathering area. The downstairs lobby was converted into a new children’s check-in area, and the children’s wings were updated to be more inviting and playful.
